Support for Veterans
In Home CAre Support for Veteran fAmilies
Home Helpers honors veterans with an annual Veteran’s Day luncheon at the Western Springs Senior Center, a summer trip to a Chicago Cubs game and through sponsorship of the Western Springs Rotary Club’s annual steak fry.
We are here to help veterans access the benefits they have earned and the care they need through these and other services:
NCPC
Our company’s membership in the National Care Planning Council provides us with the resources we need to stay up to date about the many ways we can assist veterans and their families. NCPC offers valuable insight into the needs of this growing population, the services available and how we can make those services accessible to local veterans. Membership also gives us access to NCPC’s network of experts who are always available to find the answers our clients need.
Veterans Care Coordination
Thousands of aging veterans and their spouses are entitled to benefits that can help pay for their care. But many don’t realize it or don’t know how to go about getting the benefit.
Home Helpers works with Veterans Care Coordination (VCC) to help eligible veterans and their spouses obtain financial assistance through the Pension with Aid and Attendance benefit. Since 2005, VCC has helped more than 10,000 U.S. veterans and spouses obtain benefits to help them pay for in-home care.
Many veterans who served at least one day during a time of war are eligible for thousands of dollars worth of care.
If you think you or your loved one may be an eligible candidate for this benefit, please contact Home Helpers at (630) 812-7426 to get the process started.
