We are walking to end Alzheimer’s

At Home Helpers Home Care in Enfield, we care for many patients who, unfortunately, suffer from Alzheimer's. We follow closely their development in their struggle to stay active and aware while being slowly debilitated by the disease.

That's why we are helping reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.

The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with all of us.

That’s why we would like to invite all of you --clients, friends, family--, to march with us and our trained caregivers and make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association. Every cent we donate may be the difference that will lead to a cure for this awful disease, or at least more comfort and dignity in the lives of those living with it.

The Alzheimer's Association works every day to provide care and support to affected families through education, programs, and outreach. They also promote research by funding critical studies and convening and connecting scientists across the world. Finally, the association advocates for the rights and needs of all those facing Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

We, at Home Helpers Home Care, are planning to make a difference and have a large number of people in the walk, in Enfield, on September 25, at the Asnuntuck Community College.
