In our business, recruiting good caregivers is key. How do we make sure that the person we are assigning to take care of our clients will be worthy of their confidence in us?
The rule of thumb is simple: we want caregivers who we could put in our home, with our loved ones. We look for someone who will do more than his or her duty. One such person is Shani Bennett, whose work we would like to recognize by giving her the Caregiver of the Month Award of February. Shani cares for Home Helpers Home Care patients in Suffield and Enfield.
“Shani is an amazing caregiver! Always dependable and compassionate! We can always count on Shani to give 110%!”, says Sarah Huff, our Staff Coordinator, who is Shani’s supervisor. Shani is no stranger to hard work and long hours. Often she will take the overnight shift, which demands alert attention to the safety and care of the client. What is more: clients love Shani and when they need some extra help she is always asked for by name.
By giving this award to our caregivers we want to recognize and incentive exceptional service. “And I must say that it is always difficult to shortlist candidates amongst our amazing staff”, explains Sarah.
