Welcome to Powell
The first settlers arrived in present-day Powell on May 1, 1801. By 1813, records indicate that the settlement became known as "Middlebury," in possible reference to early settlers having come from Middlebury, Connecticut. Today, Powell maintains references to its heritage as Middlebury with multiple streets and housing developments applying the name.
Nestled in the scenic Olentangy Valley region among the rolling highlands of the Scioto and Olentangy rivers, Powell offers the ambiance of small-town living with the benefits of being a short drive from the amenities of Central Ohio’s metropolitan area. Thousands of visitors are attracted to Powell, Ohio in search of that one-of-a-kind gift in our historic downtown shopping district, or to embark on an animal adventure at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium or explore local history at the Olentangy Indian Caverns. Whatever your destination, you’re never far from home in Powell.
Home Helpers Home Care Delaware, Ohio's event marketing guru, Cary Schultz, and the amazing team at Powell Senior Living had an incredible time during the Cinco de Mayo fiesta! A mariachi band, decor, great food from NACH YO food truck and, of course, these festive and fantastic Seniors, made for a wonderful afternoon of celebrating! Muchas gracias!
Bringing a truckload of Christmas love to the wonderful residents at Powell Senior Living, Powell Assisted Living & Memory Care, First & Main of Lewis Center and Burr Oak Commons. This was one of the many highlights of the holiday season for Cary and me! We are so blessed to be able to visit these incredible Senior centers, even if it's only for a brief drop off.
