Welcome to Home Helpers® Home Care Canton, OH! My name is Brian Heckman, and my wife Damey and I are the proud owners and providers of in-home care for seniors and those with disabilities, illness, or recovering from injury or surgery who need a helping hand.
Our Home Helpers® has served the Canton community for more than 20 years. Damey and I chose to acquire the franchise in 2009 because we both wanted to broaden our opportunities to help people.
Since then, we have expanded to employ nearly 50 caregivers who are highly trained, licensed, bonded, and insured. Our caregivers, Damey and I have had the distinct pleasure and privilege of serving senior men and women across the Canton area tending to a variety of needs for the last 13 years.

We embarked on our career as a Home Helpers® franchisee because it is in our DNA to help people. Having a career with such a significant purpose makes a positive impact on people’s lives and in our community which is incredibly gratifying.
You may have noticed we included our dogs Laken (5) and Rory (3) in our photo. There’s a reason for that. Laken and Rory are Golden Doodles and they have become our Home Helpers® mascots! Allow me to explain.
After more than 30 years of marriage (we marked this milestone last May), Damey and I have become empty nesters. Our three grown children are on their own, and we are doting grandparents to a wonderful one-year-old grandson!
Our adorable dogs have become our “children” at this point, and they make our lives as empty-nesters easier and more enjoyable every day. That’s why Laken and Rory are our Home Helpers® mascots: because our primary goal is Making Life Easier™ and more enjoyable for our clients each and every day!
