Home Care in Suffield
We just dropped our Thanksgiving basket with grocery goods at the Sacred Heart Church, in Suffield (CT). This event is organized annually, by the town’s Emergency Aid Association. In total, 84 baskets were collected. They will be delivered to families in need, including elderly citizens.
Each business volunteered to fill their baskets with stuffing for the turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, canned vegetable/fruits, potatoes, rolls, coffee/tea and dessert. Home Helpers Home Care also added some optional items, including cereal, soup, peanut butter/jelly, personal care items, paper goods, laundry and dish detergent.
The turkeys were provided by local Civic & Business groups: Suffield Sportsman’s Association, Suffield Fire Association, Friends of Suffield, MacDougall-Walker CI, The Composite Lodge #28 Masonic Fraternity, C & S Wholesale Grocers & Sacred Heart Church.
Pies were donated by Gloria Smith and Ken Pascoe of Bagge, Cennamo & Pascoe.

We are very glad to be part of this initiative so that everyone has a decent meal, on Thanksgiving. It reminds me of the story of the first Thanksgiving, when the pilgrims broke bread with the native-Americans of the Wampanoag tribe, to celebrate the colony's first successful harvest.
Emergency Aid and Senior Care in Suffield
It is also great to team up with the Emergency Aid Association, an organization that does so much for Elderly Care in Suffield. Among the services to help elder Suffield residents, the Emergency Aid manages the Outreach Program, that provides free of charge social work services to senior and disabled residents. The objective of the program is to explore different alternatives available for elder citizens, to enable them to stay in their own homes, for as long as possible.
