We’ve all heard the phrase, “It takes a village to raise a child.”
”This is an idiom that translates to, ‘Many people must cooperate to achieve a goal.’ This expression is generally considered an African proverb common to many African cultures,” says The Grammarist.
For me, it takes a village of Community Warriors to best serve seniors and the elderly in Clearwater and throughout Pasco & Pinellas Counties!
I had been bouncing around the idea of ”Power Partners,” or a collaborative mastermind group. I was looking for partners that would complement each other in marketing and referral efforts. Also, I hoped to gain valuable resources by having the opportunity to discuss ideas with colleagues who all provide services to seniors.
The Community Warriors group has evolved from us just meeting together. It mainly grew out of our necessity for marketing during COVID. We needed to recreate marketing, when we could no longer visit our referral partners in communities. We now have at least one project per month. These projects consist of recognizing our referral partners, doing community events and recognizing employees of communities we visit.
My Power Partners are an amazing group of empowered women who are dedicated to making life easier for seniors in a variety of ways, which pairs perfectly with the Home Helpers® mantra of Making Life Easier℠.
Our collaboration of Community Warrior Power Partners complements each other beautifully! We all offer vital services to seniors and their families in order to positively impact their lives in so many important ways.
Please allow me to introduce my Power Partners:
Amber Geier, Pineapple Placements, Senior Advisors and Placement Service
“From Independent Living, Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care, Rehab Services, Skilled Nursing Care, Home Health, Hospice and much more; our professional senior living care advisors are here to help you and your loved one navigate the next steps in your family’s senior-living journey.”
Janeen Salzgeber, Pathfinders Downsizing, Senior Move Management
“When faced with a complicated move, downsizing, or parent’s estate, and the biggest question is - Where do I start? With over 30 years of experience, we will coordinate a tailored move for you.”
Aida Norton-Polanco, Mortellaro Law, Elder Law Attorney
“As people age, they often find themselves in need of care; and the money to pay for it. Our elder law division helps seniors through the complicated task of obtaining and coordinating county, state, and federal benefits to provide and pay for this care. We have successfully obtained these benefits for thousands of seniors, many of whom were told they were over income or over assets to qualify.”
Cathy Forrise, Family Home Health Care, Skilled Home Health Care
“We are committed to providing compassionate, collaborative, best-in-class clinical care, thereby enabling our patients to achieve their individual goals. As a Medicare-certified, deemed status accredited provider, we partner with hospitals, care facilities and physicians within the community to provide continuity of care to patients. By working with these local facilities, we can coordinate and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes.”
I will provide much more information about each of my Community Warrior Power Partners in the coming months. We have some great things happening in our community, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
