Upper Tampa Bay Regional Winner - Renee Lance
This year, not only did Renee Lance win the 2020 Exceptional Caregiver of the Year Award for Home Helpers® Clearwater, she was also recognized as the Greater Tampa Bay Area 2020 Home Helpers® Exceptional Caregiver of the Year!
“I chose to go into healthcare because I enjoy the one-to-one individual attention that I can give my clients. I enjoy spending time with them and helping them with things they need to do for everyday activities, as well as maybe just being able to be that one thing that brings a smile during the day,” Renee explained.
Renee is a CNA who has been with our team for more than 18 months. She loves spending time with her clients and helping them with homemaking services, like doing dishes and taking out the trash. She also provides support during exercise and physical therapy, she offers medication reminders so her clients stay on schedule with their meds, and she provides respite for family members.
One of Renee’s clients, Gene, said, “I’ve grown accustomed to (her) face! A lot of it is assisting my wife, relieving her of her duties.”
Renee loves bringing joy to her clients and making their lives easier, which is the Home Helpers mantra. Congratulations, Renee, and many thanks for being an Exceptional Caregiver and for all you do to help your clients and others!

Corporate Regional Winner - Heather Moore
On a corporate level, our Home Helpers® Home Care parent company recognizes Exceptional Caregivers across the country for their attention to client care, compassion, and friendship.
It is with great pride that I have one of these special people on my Home Helpers Clearwater team, too, and she has been selected as one of five regional winners from across the nation to have received a 2020 Exceptional Caregiver of the Year Award.
Heather Moore may be petite, but she has a huge heart and boundless energy to help her clients any way she can.
“Anything I can do to make the person feel comfortable, that’s what I’m about,” Heather said.
Whether it’s providing companionship, engaging in meaningful conversations, doing laundry, preparing healthy meals, shopping for groceries or picking up prescriptions at the pharmacy, Heather exemplifies the very essence of an Exceptional Caregiver.
Maris, one of Heather’s clients said, “She’s an exceptional caregiver because of her understanding, compassion and her genuine interest in me and my welfare. She wants the best for me. Somehow Debbie picked the best person for me and my particular needs. I think Debbie deserves a lot of credit for matching Heather with me.”
She continued, “I love Heather as a friend and a helper. She senses my needs and my problems. She’s very special to have around because she understands me and knows what I need. She makes every time she’s here very special.”
